WHERE CAN THE TOILET BE POSITIONED?
Clear access is needed when delivering and collecting the toilet, along with clear access to where it will be placed. For servicing purposes, our service vehicles will need to be able to reach within 15 metres of where it is placed. We recommend positioning the unit on the most level area of ground possible.
HOW MUCH SPACE DOES THE UNIT REQUIRE?
Our portable toilet units are 1200mm square. You will need to ensure there is room for the unit to stand in position, with extra space to allow for the door to fully open for access.
CAN THE TOILET BE MOVED ONCE IT IS ON SITE?
We understand that a lot of movement is required on busy sites. Toilets can be moved carefully once on site, however please ensure that they remain in the range of the 15 metres required for our service vehicles to efficiently service the unit. We ask if you could please let us know if the toilet has been moved so that our Servicing Operators have the most up to date information.
WHAT ARE THE SERVICING ARRANGEMENTS?
Our portable toilets are serviced weekly. Our Servicing Operators carry out services between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, unless otherwise arranged. This excludes Bank Holidays. You do not necessarily need to be on site for the servicing, as long as there is clear access, the service will go ahead. Extra services can be arranged.
DOES SOMEBODY HAVE TO BE ON SITE FOR DELIVERY/COLLECTION?
No, However we prefer someone to be present. We may require assistance during delivery, particularly if there are any obstructions or vehicles in the way. We also like to ensure that you are happy with your delivery.
HOW MUCH NOTICE DO YOU NEED FOR DELIVERY?
We aim to deliver most orders the next working day, subject to availability. If you are able to give more notice it is always appreciated.
DO I HAVE TO EMPTY THE TOILET MYSELF?
Of course not, leave it to the poo-fessionals.
CAN THE TOILETS DISPOSE OF SANITARY EQUIPMENT?
No. Please do not put anything down the toilet, other than the toilet roll provided. If anything else ends up in the tank, it is likely to block, and an extra charge call out may incur.
ARE THERE LIGHTS IN THE TOILET?
Our portable toilets do not have lights installed and rely on external lighting through the translucent roof. We recommend that you consider this when positioning your toilet, and choose an area with the best natural light.
DO THE TOILETS HAVE ANY SECURITY?
No. After delivery, the customer is responsible for the security of the toilet. If you are concerned, please call us and we can discuss the best way we recommend to secure the toilet when given more details about your site.
CAN I ADD CHEMICALS INTO THE TOILET?
The chemicals we use are specialist, and no other chemicals or products should be added, as it may cause ours to be less effective.
THE TOILET IS NOT FLUSHING. WHAT SHOULD WE DO?
If the toilet flush is playing up, we ask you to pour a bucket of water into the toilet to raise the water level and pump several times to bring the flush back to life. If this does not work, please contact us and we will send someone to rectify the situation as soon as possible.
IS IT A LEGAL REQUIREMENT TO HAVE TOILET FACILITIES ON SITE?
The UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) advise that “If you employ anyone (however short the period) you must ‘so far as reasonably practicable’, provide adequate and appropriate welfare facilities for them while they are at work.”
ARE YOU REGISTERED UNDER THE WASTE (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2011?
Yes. Please contact us for a copy of our Certificate of Registration under the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011.
